About Scripture Guru

Five minutes a day in the scriptures

Scripture Guru is a free, game-based way to study the scriptures. Every day there is a short quiz that follows the Come, Follow Me schedule: five questions from the week’s chapters on Monday through Friday, a “live it” question on Saturday, and a question from a related General Conference talk on Sunday. You earn XP and levels, keep a streak going, and can share your score with family and friends in one tap.

Who made this?

Scripture Guru was built by a member who wanted a fun way to keep up with Come, Follow Me — and figured other families, classes, and ward groups might too. It is an independent, personal project: no company behind it, no ads, and no accounts.

How the questions work

Each question is written from the chapters in that week’s reading, and every answer shows the verse reference and a one-line explanation so you can check it for yourself and go read the passage. Alongside the daily quiz there are Doctrinal Mastery courses for the Old Testament, New Testament, Book of Mormon, and Doctrine and Covenants, including a “Locate the Verse” drill for seminary students.

Your privacy

There is nothing to sign up for. Your streak, XP, and progress are stored only on your own device (in your browser), and nothing you do in the game is sent to us. We do not run ads.

Using it in a class?

Scripture Guru works well as a five-minute opener for Seminary, Sunday School, and Primary. See the teacher guide for how to run it on a screen.
